Fiberglass Grating and Fiberglass Products
Pultruded Fiberglass Grating
Combining corrosion resistance, long life and a maintenance free design, our pultruded fiberglass grating has advantages over conventional metals. This advanced grating is also lightweight and easy to fabricate, making it less expensive to install. In fact, the savings on labor and equipment often make the total installed cost of our pultruded fiberglass grating comparable to that of steel.

Features and Benefits Details of Pultruded Fiberglass Grating
Corrosion resistant pultruded grating choice of ISOFR (isophthalic), VFR (vinyl ester) or phenolic resin systems.
Lightweight yet durable pultruded grating pultruded grating is less than half the weight of steel grating, allowing easy removal for access below floor level and installation with no heavy equipment and less manpower required.
Added safety pultruded grating pultruded grating has a durable grit surface, permanently bonded and baked to the grating surface, for a safe, slip-resistant walkway. Grit textures are available in coarse or fine for a more comfortable feel to bare feet.
Fire retardant pultruded grating pultruded grating has a Class 1 flame spread rating of 25 or less, according to ASTM E-84.
Maintenance free pultruded grating pultruded grating is corrosion resistant, requires no scraping, sandblasting or painting and its color stays continuous throughout.
UV protected pultruded grating UV inhibitors are included in the pultruded fiberglass resin formulation, along with a surfacing veil and grit top surface for optimum protection from the effects of weathering.
Easily fabricated pultruded grating no need for lifting equipment or expensive tools; pultruded fiberglass can be easily carried by two workers and cut using standard circular or saber saws fitted with carbide blades.
Electrically and thermally non-conductive pultruded grating this provides additional worker safety by reducing the risk of shock.
Electronically transparent pultruded grating it does not affect electromagnetic or radio wave frequencies.
Pultruded Fiberglass Grating Standard of Quality
All of our pultruded gratings are manufactured with a high percentage of glass within the laminate, providing durability and extremely high unidirectional strength and stiffness. A 35%/65% resin to glass ratio provides greater strength and less corrosion resistance than molded fiberglass. This product is better suited for longer spans. Due to its exceptional stiffness, our pultruded grating can be used with confidence in applications where wide support spans are required. For most applications where it is used to replace corroding steel grating, our pultruded grating rarely requires additional support. Designed specifically for pedestrian walkways, our pedestrian floor grating is ideal for any application where a corrosion-resistant, durable, lightweight surface material is required.
Our industrial grade “I” bar pultruded grating is available in 1- and 1-1/2-inch depths and in several configurations and panel sizes. 1-inch deep pedestrian grating is designed for access areas and walkways where pedestrian traffic is the heaviest load. 1-1/2-inch pedestrian pultruded grating is approximately three times stiffer than the 1-inch deep version and is used for applications where wider spans (up to 72 inches) or lower deflection criteria are required. Standard duty pultruded grating is not intended for and cannot withstand rolling loads. Industrial grade pultruded grating is available in 1- and 1-1/2-inch deep "I" bar structural profiles with a variable open area of 40%, 50% or 60%.
Our pedestrian and industrial grade “T” bar fiberglass grating is available in 1-, 1-1/2- and 2-inch depths and in several configurations and panel sizes. It can be used in many applications. “T” bar fiberglass grating is available with both fine and normal grit surfaces, and "T" bar structural profiles are available with 12%, 25%, 33%, 38% or 50% open area.
In addition to the traditional “I” bar and “T” bar structural fiberglass shapes, we offer custom shape solutions designed to meet specific industry and customer needs. Examples include wood replacement shapes, framing materials, wall panels and shapes to meet special military requirements.

Resin Systems for Pultruded Grating
Our pultruded grating is available in two resin formulations for an accurate match of product characteristics with the application. Both resin systems provide corrosion resistance that is superior to that offered by metal grating.
- ISOFR: This isophthalic polyester resin formulation provides a low flame spread rating of 25 or less and is designed for applications where there is moderate exposure to corrosive elements.
- VEFR: With a flame spread rating of 25 or less, this vinyl ester resin system provides dependable resistance to both acidic and alkaline environments.
